Message from the President

Friends and neighbors, we are coming to the end of another year. Soon you will be recieving the 2010 proposed budget, the list of board nominees, the annual meeting notice and the 2010 proxy. Please be sure to give your proxy someone, if you do not plan to attend. I hope to see a large turnout this year as I feel it is an important one. The current board, or at least 7 of us, are dedicated to making Entrada a better place to live and keep assessment fees to a minimum. This same seven people are the active road committe and crew. We are the ones doing the work to rebuild our roads. And as you can see, and as we have heard from many of you, we are doing a good job and will soon be ready to start dust abatement. On that note I should tell you I recently received a letter from the AZ. Dept. of Environmental Quality. (ADEQ). It seems a resident complained about the heavy dust on Wilmot road. The ADEQ said they visited our web site and were pleased with our efforts in dust control. Working with them the road committee will start renting a water truck in Dec. 2009 once a week just to water the roads, probably the 1st mile of our 3 main roads. This will help pack the roads and minimize dust in the process. We will do this for the rest of 2009 as we may not be the 2010 board. We also are planning the construction and installation of speed humps/dips to slow traffic. This was a suggestion from ADEQ. I have noticed more slowing on the roads and the road crew thanks you. It is not only safer for us all,( read the letter on the "What's new page on our web site), it extends the life of the roads and saves us all MONEY. Again I would like to thank those of you that help us and those of you that thank us and respect our work. I also want to ask for your support in Jan. elections. The seven of us current board members that are the road crew need your vote. We are, Joe Terrible, Phil Bridgeford, Chris Nicholson, Catherine Mittendorf, Kelly Dunn, Terry Van Vorce, Robert Tappe
